Great Prices on Some Good Fly Fishing Gear

This is our place to post used gear and discontiued merchandise at sale prices. Please check out the details below.

Rods:

All Sage ZXL, Flight, and Vantage model fly rods are now 20 percent off! Sage continues to lead the pack in rod innovation and has introduced three new rod models in September. As a result we are closing out the remaining stock of Sage ZXL's, Flights and Vantages. We have everything from short seven foot three weights to nine foot eight weights. If you are looking for a bass or pike rod, or a smaller, lighter trout rod, then don't hesitate. All discontinues models carry the full uncondional warranty and would make great Christmas Gifts.

All Redington Classic Trout fly rods are now 20 percent off! We only have a two 6 piece nine foot five weights left!  This rod really does cast like a more expensive rod. All with rod tubes and warranties.

One used Sage 890-5 RPLXi, now reduced to $300.00. This is a five piece rod. It's a nine foot eight weight saltwater fly rod. Features oversizes guides and two stripping guides. Cork handle is slightly soiled otherwise rod is in good condtion. Very easy to travel with being a five piece rod. Makes a great bass and pike rod, and of course saltwater applications as well. Rod is in original tube and sock, no warranty

One new Payne graphite 2 piece six weight, $450.00. The original owner was trying to get $600. It's a beauty and and very smooth to cast. With aluminum rod tube and sock.

One new Sage Bluegill fly rod, just reduced to $250.00! Another brand new fly rod with full warranty. Original retail was $420.00. This one is also designed to throw big bugs to bass and as the name implies, to bluegill. It comes with a 230 grain floating line that makes it easy to cast those badminton birdie like bass poppers. With rode tube and full warranty. Make Jarrett an offer on this one. It's been on sale nearly two years and needs to go!

One used Sage 1090-4 XP, $300.00. This is a nine foot ten weight fly rod. Features full wells grip with a metal reel seat and fighting butt. Perfect for larger species of fish especially for saltwater. A great rod for permit, roosterfish, trevally, pike, and muskies. This rod has seen very little action and is in very good shape. Comes with original rod tube and sock. No warranty.

One used custom Sage 6100-4 XP, $250.00. This is a ten foot six weight built on an XP blank. This would make a good big water rod where high stick nymphing is the name of the game. Could also be a good float tube rod with the longer length keeping your backcast up off of the water. It features a full wells rip with a wood reel seat insert. The rod has been used very little and is in great shape. Housed in a Sage rod tube and sock. No warranty.

One used Sage 4100-4 Z-Axis, $350.00. This is a ten foot four weight in one of the better rods to have come from Sage in the past decade. This would be another rod that excels at float tubing and high stick nymphing. Some of us at the shop use this rod for European style nymphing, taking advantage of the longer length and sensitive four weight tip section. Rod is in good condition in original tube and sock. No warranty.

One used Sage 697-4 TCR, $350.00. This is a nine foot six inch six weight fly rod. This is an extremely fast action rod. This rod is ideal for the long cast or for casting heavy or air resistant flies and is definitely not for close up fishing. I use my TCR for a lightweight Texas redfish rod, small Beizean bonefish, or on local bass and pike waters. Rod is in good condition with original rod tube and sock. No warranty.

One used Sage 586 LL, $300.00. This is an eight foot six inch, two piece, five weight fly rod. This is one of the still popular classics produced by Sage twenty years ago. It's a light medium action rod. Great at dry fly presentations and is simply fun to cast in a slower more relaxed stroke.

Reels:

One used Scientific Anglers System 11 fly reel, $150.00. Made by Hardy in England for Scientific Anglers.  From what I can find, this is a 70's vintage reel and a has double click and pawl set up just like the Hardy Marquis. This is just as good a spey reel as any of the Marquis Salmon series and is between the size of a Marquis Salmon1 and Salmon2. Reel is in good condition with minor cosmetic scratches on the frame. It is set up for right hand retrieve. Will hold up to 200 yards of backing depending on the size of the backing. With original zipperd reel case, a sink tip line, and backing.

On used Orvis DXR 7/8 fly reel, $75.00. This is not the anti-reverse reel Orvis made under the same name. It was probably produced in the late eighties or early nineties. It features a disc drag similar to the Scientific Anglers reels of the same era. Reel is anodized black and in good condition, with some very minor scratches around the outside of the frame. With original neoprene reel case, floating eight weight line, and backing.

Other Stuff:

One used Outcast Fishcat 4 float tube, $300.00. According to the owner of this boat, it was used only once. Boat comes with fins and a storage/carrying bag. Fins, bag, and boat retail separately for $$350.00. It is in very good condition.
