Great Prices on Some Good Fly Fishing Gear

Didn't get what you wanted for Christmas? Maybe you can find it here! This is our place to post used gear and discontiued merchandise at sale prices. Please check out the details below.

Rods:

All remaining Scott A3 rods are priced to move. Original retail on these rods were $335.00, and are now marked down to $235.00. We have one seven foot 3 weight left. This is a great length and rod weight for our small Rocky Mountain streams. With rod tube and warranty card.

One used Orvis Trident TL tip-flex 9 foot 8 weight fly rod. $200.00. This is a lightly used four piece rod with original tube. Cork handle shows a little use and is slightly soiled, other than that the rod is in quite good condition. Being a tip-flex rod, this would be a great stick for saltwater or for single handed casting for salmon or Alaska rainbows.

One used Sage 590-5 SLT, $300.00. This is a five piece, nine foot five weight fly rod. Slight soiling on the cork handle, otherwise this rod is in good condition. It's been out of Sage's line up for a while, but was the sister premium rod to the XP. Very portable being a five piece rod. A good big water rod that you can nymph with or cast dries.

One used Sage 890-5 RPLXi, $350.00. Another five piece rod. This one is a nine foot eight weight saltwater fly rod. Features oversizes guides and two stripping guides. Cork handle is slightly soiled otherwise rod is in good condtion. Very easy to travel with being a five piece rod. Makes a great bass and pike rod, and of course saltwater applications as well.

One used Sage 1090-4 Xi2, $350.00. This is one of Sage's saltwater offerings. This is a nine foot ten weight fly rod. It features oversized guides and two stripping guides. Cork handle is slightly soiled otherwise rod is in good condtion with very little use. This bigger size is good for large permit, dorado, roosterfish , or small king salmon. The rod breaks down into four pieces and can be carried on or might even fit in your luggage.

One used Sage 890-4 VT2, $275.00. This is a nine foot, four piece eight weight fly rod. Original retail was $475.00. This is a stiff eight weight good for everything from saltwater use to bass and pike. Slight soiling on the cork, otherwise this rod is in good condition.

Reels:

One brand new Ross Momentum 5, $375.00. Ross dicontinued this reel back in 2010. It's a little heavier (and beefier) than the current Momentum LT from Ross and shares the same carbon fibre stacked disc drag. It will hold any thing from a nine weight to eleven weight line or up to a three hundred fifty grain skagit line or eight weight spey lines. New in box with warranty card.

One used older model Hardy Marquis Salmon #1 in original reel case, $150.00. This is the original click pawl design and is compatible with the newer editions of Hardy Marquis Salmon #1's. Fair to good condition with minor scratches on frame.

One used Ross Wordlwide Flycast 1 Reel with line, $100.00. This is one the first reels that Ross had produced offshore. It features a fully metal frame and spool and disc drag and is in very good condition. The line is a rather new 4 weight, weight forward Scientific Anglers Headstart line. A good deal considering the reel originally retailed for $100.00 and the line and backing would cost over $45.00 if purchased separately.

Waders:

One pair of used Patagonia Watermaster waders, $200.00. These are an older model of Patagonia's Watermaster breathable chest high waders in a size large king for a foot size 10 -12 foot. These waders have had very little use and virtually show no wear or stains. With stuff sack.

Wading Boots:

Remaining stock of Korkers Swift wading sandals, $40.00. I only have size 12 and 13's left! Original retail on these sandals were $90.00. Sandals feature an interchangeable sole system. They all come with the hiking sole, but you can still get the felt sole, studded felt soles and Korkers Kling-On rubber soles. We also have a few size 13 felt soles in stock at 50 percent off.

Other stuff:

One used Trout Unlimited Gunnison model float tube, now $140.00. This is one of the better u-boat designed float tubes we've seen. It's about 7 years old and still holds air. With stripping apron and double action pump. A great buy.

Come in the shop and check out our 24/7/365 Garage Sale rack. People are trading in some of their old gear and converting it into store credit on a new toy. This stuff turns over fast, so if you are interested in something in particular, give us a call and see what we got.

We offer free shipping on orders over $300.00! We sell discontinued product, clearance items, and used consignment gear all the time. Please call or e-mail the shop if you have something you'd like to purchase, sell or if you want to buy something not listed here. You can reach us at hda@highdesertangler.com or 505-988-7688 in Santa Fe and 888-988-7688 out of Santa Fe. We try to update the list if anything sells or at least weekly.
